Reaper's Embrace is a Mystic item that combines offensive power, survivability, and sustain. It grants Physical Lifesteal, Spell Lifesteal, Magic Resistance, and a unique chance to launch a spectral scythe that damages everything in its path. Unlike most lifesteal items that only benefit physical attackers, Reaper's Embrace can restore health from both physical and magical damage — making it one of the most versatile sustain items in Spelltroum.

Why Use Reaper's Embrace?

Reaper's Embrace is designed for heroes that want both offensive power and survivability. The item provides lifesteal from both physical and magical damage, allowing heroes to recover health through almost every form of combat. One of its biggest advantages is that the lifesteal effect becomes available from the very first upgrade, letting players buy it early for sustain and upgrade it later when Magic Resistance becomes more valuable. The spectral scythe adds even more sustain potential — it travels in a straight line and damages every target it passes through, generating significant healing when several enemies or creeps are lined up together. Note that lifesteal only works against heroes and creeps, not bushes.

Death Slayer

Death Slayer's natural lifesteal already makes him difficult to bring down. Reaper's Embrace stacks with this sustain, allowing him to recover even more health during combat. The additional Magic Resistance also helps cover one of the weaknesses of many melee heroes.

Many Volcarn builds prioritize damage and attack speed, making Reaper's Embrace a strong alternative when additional sustain is needed without committing to Ring. The extra healing helps him remain aggressive while maintaining his health during fights.

Spiritmonger's bouncing orb can already hit multiple targets, generating healing through Spell Lifesteal. When Reaper's Embrace triggers its spectral scythe, she gains another source of multi-target damage and healing — creating surprisingly large bursts of sustain during team fights or while farming.
